An Alternative to Deleting Your Backstage Account
If you want to delete your Backstage account, you can set it to private instead. Unless you make your account public, it will stay active even if it’s not shown in searches.
If you want your profile to be private, you can do that by following a few simple steps. Once you’ve made it private, it won’t appear on public searches like Google or the Talent Database, but you can still apply to cast calls. Also, you can share the URL with anyone, but they have to be logged in to see it.
To Set Your Profile To Private:
- To make your profile private, log into your account and go to ‘Edit Profile.’
- You can either use the slider or click the pencil icon to change how visible your profile is
- To make your profile private, click ‘Private’ under ‘Profile Visibility,’ and then ‘Save.’
- Great, now your profile is private!
Can I Pause the Backstage Subscription
You can’t pause your Backstage subscription, but you can cancel it anytime if you’re not happy with it.

You can cancel your Backstage subscription by logging in to your account, or you can cancel it through Backstage customer service.
User Cancellation
If you want to amend your subscriptions, please access the account settings page and toggle “Auto-Renew” off, which is listed under your subscription details. You may only self-cancel in the following scenarios:
- If you have an online subscription (If you’re a Backstage print subscriber, you’ll need to contact customer service)
- If you’re currently on time on your subscription.

Should I Expect a Prorated Refund From Backstage
If you unsubscribe in the middle of the billing period, you’ll still have access to everything until the billing period is done. You can request a refund if you forget to unsubscribe, and it’s at most ten days from the renewal.
